A weekly time card for people paid by the hour
HourTab adds up your week the way your paycheck should: In, Out and unpaid break for each day, a total in hours and minutes (8:30) and in decimal hours (8.50), regular hours, overtime and your estimated gross pay. It is your own record to check your pay — not your employer's time clock.
Does it sync or back up to the cloud?
No, on purpose: there is no account and your hours stay on your phone. To keep a copy off the phone, pick a backup folder or save a backup file in Settings → Backups and restore.
How is overtime counted?
Weekly overtime after 40 hours by default. Daily overtime and double time can be turned on in your job settings, where you also set the limits and the multipliers. Hours already counted as daily overtime don't count again toward the weekly 40.
My shift goes past midnight.
Just type the times. HourTab shows "+1" and counts the whole shift on the day it started.
AM or PM came out wrong.
Tap AM or PM under the day you are typing in. HourTab learns your usual In and Out times for each job, so next time it guesses right. 12-hour shifts like 7a–7:30p are understood.
Can I save my usual shift?
Yes, automatically: after you work the same shift twice, it shows up as a "Usual shifts" chip on an empty day. One tap fills it.
I got a raise.
Change the hourly pay in your job settings and pick the week it starts. Earlier weeks keep the old pay.
I changed jobs.
Job settings → I changed jobs. Your old job is archived and its hours stay in History and exports.
Can my employer see my hours?
No. Nobody sees your hours unless you share a PDF or CSV yourself.
How do I move to a new phone?
Settings → Backups and restore → Save a backup copy. On the new phone, install HourTab and use Restore from a file.
How much does it cost?
HourTab is free for 7 days with everything included. After that, one payment keeps it unlocked for life — no subscription, no ads, and no card is asked for the trial. Your hours are never deleted: even after the trial you can always export them (CSV) or save a backup copy for free.
How do I restore a purchase?
Settings → Your plan → Restore purchase, using the same Google account you bought it with. It works on a new phone too.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Delete all my data, or email us. Full steps are in the privacy policy.
Is this payroll, tax or legal advice?
No. HourTab gives estimates to help you check your pay. Overtime rules vary by state and employer.
