CustodyTexts — Terms of Use

Effective date: September 21, 2026

The short version: CustodyTexts is a tool that turns your own screen recording into an organized PDF. You are the author of that document. Review every message before you export it, keep your original recording, and ask your attorney how to use it.

These terms are an agreement between you and TechInnova Solutions LLC ("we") for the use of the CustodyTexts app on iPhone and Android. By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What CustodyTexts is

CustodyTexts reads a screen recording of a chat, or a WhatsApp export file, on your phone and builds a page-numbered PDF with the original screen image next to every message. It is a document tool, like a scanner or a word processor. It is not a law firm, a notary, a court, a government agency or an expert witness, and it is not affiliated with any of them.

2. No legal services

The app and this website do not tell you what your rights are, what to say to a judge, how to present a document or whether a court, an employer or anyone else will accept it. Every court decides case by case what it admits. For anything about your situation, ask a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction or the clerk of the court. Nothing in the app, including the optional declaration text based on 28 U.S.C. §1746, is a recommendation to use that text; it is offered so you can include it if your attorney or the court asks for it.

3. You are responsible for the document

4. What the app does not promise

We promise the app will do what it says on the screen: read your recording on your device, mark what it is unsure about, list your edits, number the pages and compute a SHA-256 fingerprint of the file. We do not promise that the reading is complete or free of errors, that any court, agency, employer or person will accept the document, or that the document proves anything about the conversation. The fingerprint shows only whether the file changed after it was created; it does not show that the recording is genuine.

5. Purchase, restore and refunds

6. Acceptable use

Use the app only on recordings of conversations you took part in, or that you otherwise have the right to record and use under the laws that apply to you. Do not use it to alter, fabricate or misrepresent a conversation. Do not use it to build a document about a person you have no lawful reason to document. You alone are responsible for how you use the PDF and to whom you send it.

7. Your content stays yours

Your recording, messages and PDFs are yours. We never receive them. See the Privacy Policy for what the app stores on your phone and what the purchase SDK receives.

8. Limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechInnova Solutions LLC is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the app or of a document produced with it, including a document being incomplete, misread, rejected or misused. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law permits.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these terms. The effective date at the top will change and the app update notes will say so. You may stop using the app at any time and delete all its data from Settings ▸ "Delete all data in this app" or by uninstalling.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Apple's and Google's own terms also apply to purchases made through their stores.
