Tillglow — Privacy Policy

Tillglow: Countdown Widget · Last updated: October 6, 2026 (version 1.1.0)

The short version

Your countdowns, notes and photos stay on your phone. Tillglow has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We never see what you count down to. Tillglow is free for 7 days with everything open; after that, keeping it takes a single one-time payment through Google Play, only if you choose to buy it. Exporting your data is always free.

What we collect

From your countdowns: nothing. Tillglow has no accounts, no login, no analytics, no ads, no crash reporting and no tracking of any kind. There is no Tillglow server that receives your data.

The 7-day free trial. Tillglow is free for 7 days with everything open: no card, no sign-up, nothing renews. The 7 days are counted on your phone: Tillglow saves, in its private storage, when you first opened a version with the trial and the latest date it has seen. Nothing about the trial is sent anywhere.

The one-time purchase. After the 7 days, keeping Tillglow takes one single payment for the app (a one-time purchase, not a subscription), only if you choose to buy it. The payment is processed by Google Play and the purchase is handled and checked by RevenueCat (see Third parties). Tillglow never sees your card or payment details. If you don't buy, nothing is deleted: the widgets already on your home screen keep counting, and exporting your data (Export CSV and Save a backup copy) is always free. If Google Play can't take the payment at that moment, Tillglow stays open.

Where your data lives

Everything you create in Tillglow is stored in a database inside the app's private storage on your phone: the names, dates and times of your countdowns and count-ups, their emoji, color style, progress bar and note, your reminders, your settings (language and reminder time), and the dates of your free trial.

Photos. When you add a photo to a countdown, you pick it on Android's own photo picker. Tillglow copies only that photo into its private folder, makes it smaller, and uses it on the card and the widget. Your original photo stays where it was.

Widgets. So the widgets can show the right number without opening the app, Tillglow keeps a small copy of the titles, dates and styles of your countdowns in its private storage, and the widget reads it on the phone. Widgets and reminders show your countdown titles on your phone's screen, where anyone holding your phone can see them.

Your data only leaves your phone when YOU send it:

Third parties

Your countdowns, notes and photos are never sent to anyone. Tillglow includes one third-party service, RevenueCat, used only for the one-time purchase. Each time Tillglow opens or comes back to the screen, it asks Google Play, through RevenueCat, for the price and whether your Google account already bought Tillglow (so a purchase is recognized after a reinstall or on a new phone). For that, RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and a device identifier and, when you buy or restore, the purchase receipt, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. This is not linked to your name or email, is never used for tracking or advertising, and is never sold.

Tillglow includes Google's notification library but does not use push messaging; no token is created and nothing is sent. Reminders are scheduled on your phone.

After you have used Tillglow on a few different days (never on your first day), it may ask Google Play once to show its standard rating window. Any rating or review you leave goes to Google Play, not to us.

Permissions

PermissionWhyWhen
NotificationsThe reminders you set for a countdown (on the day, or days before). They are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent from a server.Asked only when you turn on a reminder, after a short screen that explains it. Say no and everything else keeps working; the reminder is simply not saved.
Run at startupRedraws your widgets and schedules the next midnight update and your reminders again after the phone restarts.Never asked (Android grants it).
VibrationA short tap when you save a countdown, add a widget or a reminder, or open a countdown that is today.Never asked.
Internet and Google Play billingOnly for the one-time purchase: asking Google Play for the price and whether you already bought Tillglow, and the payment itself.Never asked.

Tillglow does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone, calendar or files, and it does not ask for any special alarm or battery permission. Photos need no permission: Android's photo picker hands Tillglow only the photo you choose. The app package also lists network state and wake lock: they come with the standard libraries Tillglow uses for purchases and notifications.

Data safety summary

Data collected: a device or other identifier and, if you buy, the purchase history, only for the one-time purchase, used only for app functionality, not shared, not used to track you, and encrypted in transit. Your countdowns, notes, photos, reminders and the dates of your free trial: not collected, not shared.

How to delete your data

Your data is yours, and you can remove it at any time:

  1. On your phone: open Tillglow → Settings → Delete all my data. After two confirmations it permanently erases every countdown, reminder, photo and setting on the phone, cancels your scheduled reminders and clears the widgets' copy, so your widgets go back to "Tap to add your first countdown". The only things it keeps are whether you bought Tillglow and the dates of your free trial, so you don't lose your purchase and deleting your data doesn't start a new trial. Uninstalling the app also removes all of its data from the phone.
  2. Files you shared or saved: backups, CSV files and texts you sent outside the app are yours; delete them where you keep them.
  3. The purchase record: if you bought Tillglow, email us at cmorehollman@gmail.com and we will request deletion of the anonymous purchase receipt held by RevenueCat. No name or email is attached to it. Your Google Play order history is managed in your Google account.

Children

Tillglow is made for adults. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. If a future version ever sends your countdowns, photos or any other data off your phone, we will say so here before that version is published.
