ChoreJar — Privacy Policy

What we collect

Your family data: nothing. ChoreJar has no accounts, no login, no analytics, no ads and no tracking of any kind. If you buy the one-time unlock, the purchase itself is processed by the app store and validated by RevenueCat (see below).

Where your data lives

Every kid, chore, jar, goal and approval you enter is stored locally on your device (an on-device database). It never leaves your phone unless YOU save a backup file and share it yourself.

Third parties

Your entries are never sent to anyone. The app includes one third-party SDK, RevenueCat, used only to validate the one-time purchase: it receives the purchase receipt, an anonymous user ID and a device identifier, over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. This is not linked to your identity, is never used for tracking or advertising, and is never sold.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled locally on your device. No reminder data is sent to any server.

Data safety summary

Data collected: purchase history and identifiers (anonymous), used only for app functionality, not linked to you and not used to track you. Everything else: not collected, not shared.

How to delete your data

Your data is yours, and you can remove it at any time:

1. On your phone: open ChoreJar → Settings → Delete ALL my data. This permanently erases every kid, chore, jar and history entry stored on the device. Uninstalling the app also removes all local data.
2. The purchase record: to have the anonymous purchase receipt held by RevenueCat deleted, email us at cmorehollman@gmail.com from the account you used, and we will request its deletion. No personal identity is attached to it.

Children

ChoreJar is a tool for parents to manage chores and allowance. Accounts and purchases are made by an adult. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
